SEO-Friendly Article On-Page Checklist

Most of the checklist here are from Squirrly SEO on-page advisor. Here’s the list for easy reference.

[Title] Article title must be Title Case, not “ALL CAPS”, and not “lower case”
[Featured Image] Article must contain Featured Image
[Featured Image] In Doc Settings, Show Featured Image should be disabled
[First Image] Article body must start with an image (with can be featured image, but can be different)
[First Image] Image in article body must have alt text and caption, and must be center-aligned
[Headings] There must be headings, even the shortest articles will have 2-3 H2 headings
[Headings] All headings must be properly nested H2, H3, or H4, not just “bold”
[Images] All images must have alt text and caption
[Lists] Lists must use either ordered list, bulleted list, or sub-headings; but not normal paragraphs (fake lists)
[Responsive] Article must look good in mobile view, without any horizontal scroll
[Spelling & Grammar] Fix typos, ensure proper grammar (e.g. “di lakukan” is wrong, should be “dilakukan”)
[Hyperlinks] Must have at least one internal hyperlink to a pillar page or a cluster page
[Hyperlinks] Do not link externally to competitor’s website
[Hyperlinks] Make sure all hyperlinks work (no broken “404” links). Use following tools to check: Google Search Console, Brand Overflow.
[Tool Integration] Must have keyword focus in Squirrly Live Assistant
